Mac with Chinese Characters

There is now a Mac Store in China! The unveiling of the first Apple Store in China took place Saturday at the new Villages mall at Sanlitun. Over the weekend there were huge crowds packed in, especially around MacBook Airs, checking out all the products. The only place where there weren't lines was at the cash registers. Of course there was one very popular Apple product that was nowhere to be found, the iPhone. Domestic import/luxury taxes on Mac goods make them far more expensive than overseas, but this store is more a showpiece for Mac rather than a place expected to be an instant retail success.
